What are the advantages an INDUSITE enjoys using this Card/s?
Usage of these Cards at specified INDUS Healthcare Deliver Center/s will entitle you to discounts
on the products and services resulting in substantial savings thereby reducing your medical bills.
MORE IMPROTANTLY you are entitled to these discounts every time you use the card without
any upper limit or cap
MOST IMPORTANTLY, you get reasonable discounts on Pharmacy/Laboratory/diagnostics/OPD
which forms a substantial part of a family's expenditure
The INVALUABLE INDUSITE enjoys a discount on the Healthfriend Card he/she gets.
MORE IMPORTANTLY on the Gold Card he/she is entitled to “Premium Inpatient Hospitalization
Facility
” for self and family*
*subject to terms and conditions


What is the eligibility for acquiring/possessing these Cards?
For a Silver Card, you need to be an Indusite, who has purchased a preventive health checkup
package.
For a Gold Card, you need to be an Indusite, who not only has renewed his/her membership at
least once, but also is an existing valid/active member of INDUS.

Does everyone in my family require one Card each?
NO, one Card suffices for you and your family, consisting of you, your spouse, children, your
parents and your spouse parents.

Am I entitled to discounts on purchase of drugs from the pharmacy at the INDUS Healthcare
Delivery Centers?
YES, Please be advised, in exceptional conditions, on some of the drugs and items you purchase
from the Pharmacy, the discount may be lower or may not be available. This may be only an
exception, bear with us, since due to some changes in government rules, trade practices,
manufacturer pricing policies, taxation changes and / or for reasons beyond our control, we may
constrained to do this.


Can anyone use the Card? Is there any age restriction for using the Card or availing the
service?
YES
, any defined member of your family can use the Card. Please remember they have to physically
present the Card at the time of availing of the services, and also comply with the formalities of
filling up a separate form and / or any other formality as required by INDUS.
NO, There is no age restriction, all persons who need healthcare, irrespective of age can use this
card and avail of the discounts.
However, please note that we will constantly monitor the usage of the card and take strict action
in terms of cancelling the card and/or lodging a complaint with the law enforcement authorities,
if the card is misused or used fraudulently or with intent to cheat or defraud.

Can I use the Card the moment I get it?
a) SILVER CARD: You can start using the Sliver Card as soon as you get it.
b) GOLD CARD: You can start using the Gold Card as soon as you renew with INDUS, however the
usage is subject to terms & conditions.


How do I get to know the normal rate for the services, the discount amount I am entitled to
and the net amount I need to pay on the services I require?
You have two options:

Contact any of the INDUS Healthcare delivery center for your queries pertaining to that
particular center only
Contact INDUS Healthfriend Help line on 020-66472500 for the required information of all INDUS
Healthcare delivery centers


Can I use this card when I use my Health Insurance, CGHS, ESI and Corporate Tie-up facility
with Hospital?
NO. This is a stand-alone scheme and cannot be combined with any other offer or arrangement
scheme.


Do I need to authenticate every time I want to use the Card?
YES and after authentication you are required to produce the authentication slip at all the
required counters which will bill you for the services.
If you want to use the Card again after you've completed all the billing and you have used up
your authentication slips, you will have to come again to the desk and get more slips. Please
understand that this is imperative in your own interest and also not to allow any misuse of the
Card by unscrupulous people.


How can I assure a hassle-free hospitalization..?
Any admission decided well in advance in consultation with the treating doctor and intimated to
Healthfriend team where they could help you in booking of a bed, Operation Theatre etc. would
certainly assure you a hassle-free hospitalization


Is the Discount also available on the Registration Charges for IP & OP?
NO, the Hospital Registration Charge is a very nominal amount, which is collected from everyone
as a matter of policy


Whom do I contact when I am unable to get through INDUS Healthfriend helpline..?
You could refer to our “INDUS Healthcare delivery centers booklet” where the contact details of
all delivery centers are mentioned. Kindly contact that particular center you wish to, for further
assistance.


What is the rate of discount I get on the Indus Healthfriend Cards?
Discount structure varies from center to center so please refer to our “INDUS Healthcare

What happens if my Card gets lost / stolen?
Please contact INDUS on 020 – 66472500 to know the procedure for obtaining a duplicate card
on payment of a nominal fee and to deactivate the lost / stolen card.


What is the maximum amount of products/services I can avail of/utilize/buy, through this
card?
NONE, There is NO MAXIMUM LIMIT for the Expenditure you can incur. However, if it comes to
our notice that the same card is circulated and traded, resultant of which several unrelated
people use the Cards, to avoid purchase of Card and yet avail benefits, we will seize the Card and
cancel/deactivate the same and also ensure that no new Card is issued to you.

What if I forget to carry my Card to the Delivery Center?
In the normal course, you will not be able to avail of any services, without presenting the Card.
However, in case of emergency inpatient admission, if you are able to convince us that you are a
valid Card Holder, we may, at our sole discretion, let you avail of the services, provided that you
present the Card within 24 hours, failing which the services will be charged on actuals without
any discount. Please note that we will make all efforts to help you, but you should understand
that we cannot deviate from the rules and regulations, beyond a certain point.

Should I first disclose my medical history and that of my family as well before joining INDUS..?
NO. You need not disclose your medical history while joining INDUS but you need to disclose
your defined family members


Can I claim a refund full or partial if I wish to discontinue the card during its validity..?
NO. You are not entitled to any refund either full or partial even if you wish to discontinue your
card during its validity.


Does this card offer discounts on all the services available at INDUS Healthcare delivery
centers..?
YES, However there are a few items / services which are not entitled for discounts. Please refer
page _____ for all the exclusions


When am I restricted from using the Card..?
When you want to avail Insurance, Corporate Tie-up, CGHS, Government Insurance Scheme, or
any other promotional or offer or scheme, usage of this Card is restricted in conjunction or
coupled together with the said Schemes/Offers etc.
Declaring that having a valid Healthfriend card at the time of first use (OPD, Inpatient) & during
each use is mandatory, failing which you will be restricted from using your card.

Suppose I am admitted as an INPATIENT, how will my discount be calculated, for services
availed, say like Laboratory, Diagnostics, Pharmacy etc.

As an Inpatient, remember you are getting a discount on Hospitalization charges, which by itself
is a big benefit. Hence for all services utilized by you as an INPATIENT, the discount rate
applicable to and as inpatient will apply
and over ride all other discount rates on individual
components like lab, diagnostics, etc.
For e.g. /- If the inpatient Discount rate is 20% then this is the rate which will apply to all services
availed by you as an inpatient, irrespective of whether it is diagnostics or laboratory.
However, for the purchase of pharmacy items at the pharmacy not forming a part of the
inpatient Bill, you will be entitled to the discount as applicable on Pharmacy Purchases, as a
separate item.


Am I entitled to a discount on the Administration/Service Charges levied on the inpatient Bill?
NO. The Administrative Charges are levied after applying discount on your bill. Thereby you pay
the charges on a lower bill amount and save.

If you did not have the Card, you would have paid Rs. (100 + 8% = Rs. 108/-).
Here you have not only got a Rs. 20/- discount on the Gross Amount of the Bill, but also got a
reduction in the Administrative Charges, resulting in a total saving of Rs.26.4/- (Rs. 20 + Rs. 6.4).

Are there any Specific / Important terms and conditions I should know of?
While an honest attempt has been made to categorize the services rendered and the discount
rates for the category of services, please note that the discount rates are maximum rate of
discount you are entitled to, based on the type of Card you hold and the center you refer to.
In exceptional conditions, on some of the drugs and items you purchase from the Pharmacy and
/ or on Lab Tests conducted, the discount may be lower than the indicated rate and / or not
available. This may be only an exception, bear with us, since due to some changes in government
rules, trade practices, manufacturer pricing policies, taxation changes and/or for reasons beyond
our control, we may constrained to do this. Kindly make an informed decision to purchase and
check with us over telephone and at the help desk to avoid any issue.
Please note all products/ services are subject to availability and in your own interest, please call
up INDUS Healthfriend helpline on 020 - 66472500 to check on availability of service/product
before coming to the Hospital.

Can I insist on seeing a particular Doctor for Outpatient consulting and/or insist on a particular
Doctor for Inpatient Treatment/Procedure/Surgery.

NO. Choice of doctors for treatment is purely at the sole and final discretion and decision of
hospital and INDUS
A Card holder can attend the respective Doctor's OPD who is on call for that particular day at the
hospital to become his patient.
Also please note, in case you are ready to pay the actual charges for a particular doctor, the
appointment for consulting, treatment or surgery is subject to availability and at his/her and
delivery center discretion. Please be assured that the Doctors who would be advising you,
treating you or conducting surgeries are also equally competent and good and are committed to
the Hospital/ Organization and being treated by them would in no way be of any detriment to
you.

Why I am not entitled to a discount on CT Coronary Angiogram (Heart)?
The Flagship Preventive Health Checkup Package Product of Indus is the Comprehensive Health
Checkup Package which includes CT Coronary Angiogram (Heart). Indus primarily believes in the
concept of preventive healthcare and hence for the first time in the world, has Devised,
Designed, Developed and Offered a Preventive Health Checkup Package which includes CT
Angiogram (Heart).
Hence this restriction


Where do I register my complaint regarding the Card and/or services rendered?
We convey to our customers, "If you have something nice to say about us, TELL OTHERS, if you
have something not so nice, TELL US, we will quickly correct ourselves and ensure that we do not
repeat the same again".
If you have a complaint on a transaction done at delivery center, you can immediately go to the
concerned INDUS Healthfriend helpdesk and meet the Customer Care Executive, who will attend
to your complaint.
